What is a BOC-3 form?
A BOC-3 (designation of process agents) is a form required by the FMCSA for motor carriers, brokers, and freight forwarders. It designates legal process agents in all 50 states who can accept legal documents on your behalf.
Is filing a BOC-3 required?
Yes. The FMCSA requires a BOC-3 filing before operating authority can be granted. Without it, your authority will remain pending.

How much does your BOC-3 filing cost?
Our BOC-3 filing service is a one-time fee of $30. There are no hidden fees or annual renewals. This is a one time filing.
What does the $30 fee include?
Your filing includes:
– Process agent designation in all 50 states + Washington DC.
– Electronic filing directly with the FMCSA
– Email confirmation after submission
– Customer support if you have questions
Is there an additional fee for receiving documents on our behalf?
We do not have additional fees for documents received. The $30 fee is covered, we will take care of postage fees and mailing you documents.
How long does the filing take?
BOC-3 filings are submitted same day during business hours. Once filed, the FMCSA typically updates your record shortly after.
Will I receive proof of filing?
Yes. We send email confirmation once your BOC-3 has been successfully filed with the FMCSA.
Can I file a BOC-3 myself?
No. A BOC-3 must be filed by an FMCSA-authorized process agent. We are officially registered and authorized to file on your behalf.
Do I need to renew my BOC-3 every year?
No. A BOC-3 filing is a one-time only unless:
– You change process agents
– You reinstate authority after revocation
